Paw-fect Howl-O-Ween Portraits to Raise the Woof!

At the Home Run Dog Park we will be featuring Paw-fect Pet Portraits at our 1st Annual Howl-O-Ween Pawty on October 31st! The portraits will be brought to you by Redbow Photography of Battle Creek, the same company that featured such wonderful work at our Anniversary event in August.

The Howl-O-Ween event will feature our Story Book Costume contest! What better way to capture the memory than having a portrait done?

The costume contest at the event will have winning categories that include 1st, 2nd and 3rd place ribbons for Scariest Costume, Silliest Costume, Most Original Costume and Best Costume Duo (human and dog). There will also be a special single ribbon given for Best Overall!

So be prepared to raise the woof with your Harry Paw-ters, Jurassic-bark dinosaurs and other fetching story book costumes to delight the imagination!

The photographer for the event, Anthony Allred, started Redbow Photography while studying photography at Kellogg Community College.

“I have always had a passion for the arts, as well as a love for the meticulous details of science” said Allred.  “Photography appeals to both aspects.  I have been fortunate enough to explore several avenues of photography.”

His creative and talented work at the 1st Anniversary event recieved rave reviews from the owners who had their dog’s portraits taken.

I have shot landscapes, families, weddings, seniors, maternity, and industrial.  Recently, I’ve really enjoyed focusing on the challenge of pet photography” continued Allred. “Shooting at Home Run Dog Park has given me the opportunity to network for my business, while simultaneously supporting my community and a park my family loves to frequent with our own dogs.”

The Pet Portraits at the Howl-O-Ween Pawty is part of the fundraising for the event. Portraits will be $25 each, with the profits going to benefit the Home Run Dog Park and the BCPD K-9 Project, who will be conducting a special K-9 demostration.

Also at the event, in case it is chilly and you feel like a pup-sicle, there will be cozy warm Home Run Dog Park hoodies and T-shirts available for purchase so that you can proudly support the dog park! All proceeds from these items go to support annual maintenance, upgrades and servicing of the dog park.

Sponsors that are making this event possible include The Friends of Calhoun County Dog Parks, Honor Credit Union, Pet Supplies Plus, Redbow Photography and the BCPD K-9 Unit.
