Dog Park to Re-Open May 29th, after COVID-19 Closure

It is official now. The Home Run Dog Park will re-open on Friday, May 29th after being closed for the past few months do to the COVID-19 shutdown.

The dog park will be open at 8:00 AM Friday morning, and will remain open as before. The water for the park has been turned on, however the water fountains for humans have not. This is because of the Governor’s outstanding order on public drinking fountains.

The Home Run Dog Park will open on Friday, May 29th at 8:00 AM.

The Port-A-Jon in the park will begin being serviced next week, and throughout the summer. The Kalamazoo Poo Crew is still servicing the park removing dog waste, but dog owners still need to adhere to the rules and pick up after their dogs.

Please remember to follow the rules of the park, and do not bring in children under the age of 10. To review the Home Run Dog Park rules, please click here.

Please remember to follow the CDC advice on social distancing whenever possible, and do not leave trash in the pavilion.

Thank you for everyone’s patience during these unusual times! Enjoy your summer! Woof!
