Larry Kaiser was an enthusiastic supporter and contributor to the Home Run Dog Park. Sadly, Larry lost his four year battle with pancreatic cancer a few weeks ago.
Larry and his wife Cindy Wagner have always been animal lovers, but at the time Larry was diagnosed with cancer around 2016, he was without any pets. Following his diagnosis, he adopted Duke. Duke became his constant companion throughout his treatment, and provided Larry with many hours of comfort and enjoyment.
When Larry heard about the project to establish a dog park in Battle Creek, he was an immediate supporter and became involved in anyway he could by drawing attention to the project online, helping raise funds and participating at events when possible.
If you have been a visitor to the Home Run Dog Park since it opened in August 2019, you likely would have run into Larry and Duke, as they were regular fixtures at the park. Larry will be sorely missed.
Duke is now living with Larry’s daughter and son-in-law, and enjoying dog parks and other adventures in Seattle.
